Building Corrison API

This began as an idea for a project to showcase my skills with Django and Django REST Framework. Being fairly new to the world of coding (I qualified March 2024) an the tech industry being what it is I have decided to use my skills to showcase what I can do. I am also hoping to earn back the fee I paid!

I enjoy working freelance. I have for several years. The idea of working for a small startup would be amazing. For now, I love to build. It just so happens that what I have built here can also help me online. I run small content affiliate sites and this has made the process easier for me.

I like the idea of drop shipping and selling products, which is why the ecommerce API was set up.

For 2025 my main aim is to build and market my own sites.

By late 2025 / early 2026 hopefully the system will be fully refined and working well enough that I can build sites for clients. Especially rapid web development or quick deployment web services as its known. Services that focus specifically on temporary sites for events, conferences, or time-sensitive campaigns and promotions.

At some point it would be great to turn it into a SaaS product that people can use to build their own sites.

Right now, in this moment, it is the end of June 2025 and I am just building all the components with the help of AI. Mainly Claude.ai right now but that may change soon.

I will use this blog to document the process of creating this custom built system.
